This Privacy Policy explains what information Fav (“we”, “us”), operated by AU ALLGO PTY LTD, collects when you use the Fav app and related services, how we use it, and your choices. By using Fav you agree to this policy.
In short: Fav stores the things you choose to save and your account so the app works across your devices. We use Google Firebase for analytics and crash reporting.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for third-party advertising, and we do not use the advertising identifier (IDFA) or any cross-app tracking.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Email address and name — provided by Sign in with Apple or Google when you create an account. (If you use Apple’s “Hide My Email,” we receive only the relay address.)
- Account identifier — a user ID we assign to your account.
Content you save
- Saved items — the links, text, images, and videos you save to Fav (via the share sheet or in the app), and the AI-generated title, summary, and tags created for them.
- Search queries — the searches you run across your saved items, stored to provide and improve search.
Diagnostics and usage
- Usage and product-interaction data — events such as screen views and feature usage, via Google Firebase Analytics, to understand how the app is used.
- Crash and performance data — via Google Firebase Crashlytics, to find and fix problems.
- App-instance identifier — a pseudonymous identifier generated by Firebase for the app installation. This is not the advertising identifier (IDFA) and is not used to track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
- Approximate location — a coarse, city-level location is inferred from your IP address by Google Firebase Analytics for analytics purposes only. We do not collect precise/GPS location.
2. How we use information
- To provide the core service: store your saved items, generate titles/summaries/tags, and let you search and view them across your devices.
- To operate features you choose to use, such as making a favorite public or sharing it via a web link.
- To maintain, secure, debug, and improve the app (analytics and crash diagnostics).
- To communicate with you about support requests and important service notices.
We do not use your information for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.
3. AI processing
To generate titles, summaries, and tags, the content of items you save is processed by automated AI systems on our backend. This processing exists solely to organize and make your saved content searchable for you.
4. How information is shared
We share information only with service providers that help us run Fav, under contract and only as needed:
- Apple and Google — for Sign in with Apple / Google authentication.
- Google Firebase — analytics and crash reporting.
- Cloud hosting and storage providers — to run our servers and store your saved content.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service. Content you choose to make public is visible to others by design.
5. Data retention and deletion
We keep your account and saved content until you delete them or your account. You can delete individual saved items in the app at any time. You can request deletion of your entire account and associated data from within the app (Profile → Account → Delete Account) or by emailing [email protected]. When you delete your account, we delete your account, saved content, search history, and stored media, except where we must retain limited records to comply with law.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS) and stored on access-controlled infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
7. Children
Fav is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. International transfers
Fav is a global service. Your information may be processed and stored in countries other than where you live, with protections consistent with this policy.
9. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information. To exercise these, use the in-app controls or contact [email protected].
10. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, by in-app notice.
